The British soul/funk legends were endlessly sampled by hip-hop and dance icons, and they were pioneers in blending African rhythms with rock, reggae, and soul. Cinevillers will no doubt remember them from that unforgettable needle drop of Bra in The Worst Person in the World.
On the same day Cymande takes the stage at PAARD (click here for tickets), we’ll get you in the groove with Getting It Back: The Story of Cymande (2022). A swinging documentary about the band that provided the soundtrack for generations, all while rarely stepping into the spotlight themselves. Together with PAARD and Black Soil, we bring their story to the big screen — so you can groove twice as hard at the concert that evening.
