While The Hague prepared for the arrival of the NATO Summit, a local program took place in the lead-up to the event. This included activities focused on peace and justice for everyone in The Hague, under the banner "Road to Summit".

From the end of January until the Summit, people came together – young and old, locals, students, professionals and creatives – to reflect on peace and justice. The workshops, debates, exhibitions and community events brought the city to life.

The absolute highlight? The Just Peace Festival from 12 to 26 June: two weeks full of music, art, dialogue and encounters in various locations in The Hague. Everyone could participate and make their voice heard.

With Road to Summit, The Hague once again showed why it is the city of peace and justice.
Thanks to everyone who participated, spoke, listened and contributed!
"Now, more than ever, it is so important to connect and continue working together on Peace and Justice." - Mayor Jan van Zanen.
