With Peace Week, we show that despite all the news about wars, refugees, and growing polarization, there are also many people who long for peace and connection and work towards it every day. Unseen, all sorts of extraordinary and beautiful things are happening. Not big and impossible, but small and close.

Objective Peace Week

The goal of Peace Week is to highlight inspiring initiatives that contribute to an inclusive and peaceful society in the Netherlands. Together with thousands of people, we will take action and mobilize people for peace. The whole of the Netherlands is invited to be part of this movement. Hundreds of activities are being organized across the country: from film nights to festivals, from meals to masterclasses, and from celebrations to debates. All these local activities are brought together in one national Peace Week.

PAX encourages, motivates, and supports local initiatives with an annual theme, concrete working methods, materials, and a dedicated Peace Week website where all activities are announced. PAX also runs a national publicity campaign to generate media attention for this most important week of the year.
