August 17, 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Indonesia's liberation from 350 years of Dutch colonial rule. In Indonesia, this is a national holiday full of pride and joy. But in the Netherlands, things remain quiet. The struggle for independence is still not recognized, and victims of Dutch colonial violence and their descendants remain unseen.
