FAQ

Will the festival remain accessible around the NATO Summit (23 - 26 June 2025)?

All Just Peace Festival activities will remain accessible during the NATO Summit. You should take longer travel times into account. The Hague will host the NATO summit from Tuesday 24 to Wednesday 25 June. During this period, additional security and traffic measures will be taken throughout the Randstad to transport delegations safely between Schiphol and the World Forum.

What you should know

General mobility

• Current information about road closures, diversions and public transport disruptions can be found on the government and municipal websites.

• Follow the advice of Rijkswaterstaat: avoid rush hour and, if possible, travel by public transport or by bike.

Locations outside the summit-zone

All festival components have been deliberately relocated to the city centre and other neighbourhoods outside the immediate summit zone. This way, they remain easily accessible and we relieve the safety corridor around the World Forum..

Hague Talks – 23 June (Amare)

Amare remains accessible! We fully follow the house rules and safety guidelines of Amare and the Municipality. The building remains accessible, although your journey may take a little longer. Plan your journey extra generously and check 9292.nl or your cycle route planner before departure.

24 & 25 June

Only smaller, neighborhood-oriented activities are on the agenda on these peak days. This way we avoid large flows of visitors and extra pressure on the emergency services.

Travel tips at glance

  • Cycle or walk when possible; this way you avoid road closures and parking congestions.
  • Check your travel before departure via NDW and 9292 to avoid surprises.
  • Leave early and plan extra time, especially on 23, 24 and 25 June.
  • Follow the instructions on site from traffic controllers and police.

The Just Peace Festival is an open platform, where dialogue, art, and activism come together to explore new approaches to peace. This festival is the highlight of the Road to Summit program in The Hague.

Road to Summit is a city-wide program launched in January by the Municipality of The Hague. It brings together a wide range of activities and events that highlight the themes of peace and justice in the run-up to the NATO summit in The Hague in June.
