POLITIEKE JONGEREN – VERZET! STRIJD VOOR VROUWENRECHTEN

  • Date: 25 June
  • Time: 20:00
  • Location: PAARD

Please note: this is a Dutch-language event.

It’s time to rise up! In collaboration with Politieke Jongeren, PAARD is organizing a series of interactive evenings in 2026 focused on resistance. The second evening will take place on Thursday, June 25, with the theme: Fighting for Women’s Rights.

Growing inequality, far-right rulers, and a welfare state that year after year is being stripped bare by neoliberal blunders. And who is blamed? The foreigner, the asylum seeker, the migrant: the ‘other.’ This disgusting scapegoating politics offers no solutions. We are stuck with massive student debt, skyrocketing public transport fares, unaffordable housing, increasingly expensive healthcare, a climate crisis, a government deliberately supporting genocide, and politicians gradually hollowing out the democratic rule of law. But we cannot sit idly by. Now more than ever, it’s time to make our voices heard and fight for a better future,” says Nugah Shrestha, founder of Politieke Jongeren.

This program is part of PUSH.
PUSH is the umbrella under which PAARD presents socially engaged, critical, progressive, and politically conscious programming. As the city’s pop venue located just a few hundred meters from the Binnenhof – the center of power, politics, peace, (war) law, and protest – we use PUSH to provide the soundtrack to social change. With PUSH, we show that our mission goes beyond entertainment: we dare to go deeper. At PUSH, you see and hear things that can change your perspective, insight, or life path. PUSH challenges, pushes, provokes, and makes an impact. More info: PAARD.NL/PUSH
