Keti Koti / Kibra Kadena 2026 - Free Heri Heri For All x The Black Hague Experience

  • Date: 01 July
  • Time: 12:30 - 23:00
  • Location: Amare

On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the sixth edition of Keti Koti/Kibra Kadena, organized by The Black Hague Experience, will take place at Open Amare in Amare.

Under the theme Homegrown, this edition is rooted in our community, our stories, our strength, and our future. Homegrown represents what grows within The Hague itself: within families, entrepreneurship, youth initiatives, knowledge transfer, and intergenerational connection.

Programme

12:30 PM – 11:00 PM Open Amare – featuring an opening ceremony with a libation, Free Heri Heri For All (free heri heri meals in partnership with Kip Republic), Kids Corner, Homegrown Stage, Zwarte Mannen Praten Niet safe space, and a black-owned businesses market in partnership with The Africa Cultural Promotion Center.

From 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Amare will transform into a gathering place for remembrance, awareness, education, and celebration. Visitors can look forward to a diverse program featuring a ceremonial opening, spoken word, live music, workshops, talks, children’s activities, a Black-Owned Business Market, and the collective “Free Heri Heri For All” moment at community tables.

Young people, creators, artists, entrepreneurs, and key figures from The Hague are coming together to shape a day where the past, present, and future converge.

The evening concludes festively with live performances, dance, and music by local and Caribbean artists. Keti Koti/Kibra Kadena 2026 is free to attend and invites everyone to be part of this shared cultural experience.
