Our guests are Maja Groff, Marijke van Duin and Ibtihelle Ben.
The UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Chang) COPs are
annual UN-conferences bringing together since 30 years political, economic and
social representatives from most countries over the world to come to common
agreements facing the climate crisis. Next to the official programme there are a wide
range of side events including religious groups.
Maja is Convenor/Executive Director of the Climate Governance Commission and
has been working with the presidency team of COP30, among other leaders/
decision-makers.
Marijke has been attending the COP as an observer on behalf of the World Council
of Churches.
Ibtihelle participated in COP and the People’s Summit on behalf of the Forum of
European Muslim Youth and Student Organisations and the European Network
Against Racism.
