Daddy’s little problem

  • Date: 27 January
  • Time: 20:30 - 21:30
  • Location: Zaal 3

This event takes place in Dutch.

What happens to a girl who grows up in a family where sexual violence is the norm? Is it strange that she later cannot have sex with men, or that she sexualises her own trauma? And what is generational trauma?

Daddy’s Little Problem is an autobiographical solo performance about domestic and sexual violence, and how it leaves deep marks on the children who witness it. Domestic violence—and talking about it—is one thing, but its aftermath is often forgotten.

Through visual storytelling, Priscilla takes you back to her childhood. Step into the colourful inner world of a child and, just like her, become a witness to the sexual violence that has been inflicted on the women in her family for generations.

"The performance Daddy’s Little Problem made a profound impact with its urgency, raw power, and deeply personal story. In a societal context where violence against women and femicide are pressing issues, her work feels painfully relevant." - Jury Fringe At Best Award
